Latest trip to Vanuatu

We had 10 days in Vanuatu in what was supposed to be winter but was in fact a lovely 21 - 24 degrees. We spent time on Efate Island (including Iririki Island and Ifira Island) and Tanna Island. Our first web photo album covers our time around Port Vila where we climbed up Mele Cascades to Mele Waterfall, snorkelled on Hideaway Island and Iririki Island, paddelled a dugout canoe aroudn Mele Bay, visited the Secret Garden and sampled the different local foods and entertainment.

Our second web photo album covers our time on Tanna Island. Tanna Island is located in the Tafea province and is very traditional with many things we take for granted in Australia shunned by the people of Tanna, including cars. We either walked or went by 4WD along tracks to the many wonderful places you can visit on Tanna. The very active Yasur Volcano was the highlight along with the wonderful snorkelling, waterfalls, black sand beaches and the friendly people. We loved it!

We are back from the BIG TRIP!

What was our favorite place on our Round Australia Trip? We get asked that all the time but there are so many great places it is hard to choose one. One from Western Australia would be Karajini, no wait The Bungles, no maybe Mitchell Falls, then of course there is Broome... In Northern Territory we loved Litchfield but of course Darwin was great and Katherine Gorge... In South Australia Kangaroo Island was our highlight this time but you can't forget the road across the Nullabour... I could go on and on with Queensland, New South Wales & ACT, Victoria and Tasmania but best you just take a look at the photos and decide for yourself.

Our Latest Web Album

We went to 1770 and Agnes Waters recently. Have a look at some of our photos. We also stayed a while at Deepwater National Park and Wreck Rock. That Web Album is ready for viewing too.
This weekend we are off to do some wine tasting around the Maleny/Kenilworth area in Queensland. We will post those photos on the AussieHoliday website soon after we get back.
